SLKPA Singles League

New idea
Are there any players (SLKPA only) interested in taking part in a cash singles league, based similar to those at JFK's and Barking etc.
Here's how it works.
Players pay an entrance fee (say £50).
Players play each other in a round robin basis in a best of 10 or 12 frames with each frame won worth a point + a win or draw bonus (2 or 1 point).
The top 1 to 4/5/6 etc players receive a staggered prize with the champion receiving the most obviously.
All the players that don't finish in the prize money but have completed all matches are entered in a one off knock out for the remainder of the kitty.
Meaning that even if you finish bottom of the league you still have a chance of scooping the end of season knock out kitty.
Matches would need to be played on a suitable day other than Thursday perhaps Monday or Wednesday etc.
The venue would either be Riley's or maybe players could use their home venue and play each opponent at home and away on different weeks. the home player would be responsible for table costs (or get the guvnor to open up the table etc).

If we get enough interest then the SLKPA would look into this venture further... maybe even seek a sponsor????
A minimum of 8 players would be needed to make it a goer, but the more the merrier.
